Paid memberships renew automatically every 28 days (13 payments a year) or annually, until cancelled. The upfront bundle covers three consecutive periods at 25% off and is non-refundable once activated, one redemption per person. Your Meta discount applies in the venue at the till on food, drink and gaming — it isn't applied to the membership fee itself. New memberships can take up to 24 hours to activate after payment. 16+ to join. Manage or cancel any time through the secure Stripe customer portal linked in your emails.

FAQ

Why "every 28 days" and not monthly?+
Paid tiers bill on a fixed 28-day cycle — that works out at 13 payments a year, so we say exactly that rather than calling it monthly.
When does my membership start?+
Up to 24 hours after payment. After you pay you'll add your New Meta account details (or create them) — once staff link your membership to your account you're live, and your welcome email confirms it.
Does my discount apply online?+
No — your Meta discount is applied by staff at the till in the venue, on food, drink and gaming. Online you only ever pay the membership fee.
How do I cancel or change tier?+
Email Hello@playnewmeta.gg to cancel or pause your membership and the team will sort it. You can also update your card through the Stripe customer portal link in your emails.
What happens after I pay?+
You'll land on a confirmation page with your reference and get an email straight away. The team sets your membership up in the background and confirms within 24 hours.
Can I pay upfront and save?+
Yes — at checkout you'll be offered 25% off when you pay your first three periods upfront (Rare, Epic and Legendary).
How do I get the Student membership?+
Student membership is free but can only be set up in person — bring a valid student ID to the venue at 116 Upper Street and staff will sign you up at the till. You get Meta discounts of up to 10% on food, drink and gaming, plus 2.5 hours of free PC gaming every week (doesn't roll over, subject to PC availability).
What is the Plus upgrade?+
Plus is an optional add-on at checkout for Rare, Epic and Legendary. With Plus, your free weekly hours run in the Battle Arena (our premium room) instead of the public area. Rare +£5, Epic +£10, Legendary +£20 per 28 days.
Does membership include PC time?+
Yes — paid tiers include free weekly PC gaming in the public area (3 hrs on Rare, 10 on Epic, 25 on Legendary; hours don't roll over and are subject to availability). Add Plus at checkout to use those hours in the Battle Arena. Extra time is topped up by staff as normal, with your member discount.
